A PDF link is a separate annotation, not a property of the text. Exporting from Word, Google Docs or a browser often writes the address as plain text and drops the annotation, so it reads like a link but does nothing when clicked. This tool adds the annotation back.

Web addresses starting with http:// or https://, bare addresses beginning www., and email addresses, which become mailto links. Decimals and prices such as 3.5 or $10.99 are deliberately left alone — a wrong link is clickable and takes the reader somewhere unintended.

Yes. Give the exact text as it appears in the document and the address it should point to, and every occurrence becomes a link. You can use this together with automatic detection or on its own.

Not directly. A scan is an image with no text to search, so nothing can be found to link. Run the OCR PDF tool first to add a text layer, then come back.

Nothing is duplicated. Links already present are left as they are, so running the tool on its own output adds nothing and changes nothing.

No. Only link annotations are added. Text, images, fonts and layout are untouched, and existing links are preserved.
