E-Signature
This section covers the FlexFiles e-signature workflow: sending one-off signature requests, assigning sequential or parallel signers, building reusable templates, sending in bulk, and understanding certification, PAdES signing, and the audit trail.
What this section covers
- Sending a single document for signature with sequential or parallel signers.
- Placing signature, initials, date, and text fields anywhere on a PDF.
- Building reusable templates from an existing signer and field layout.
- Sending the same template to many recipients at once (bulk send).
- Certification, PAdES signing versus password-locked output, and the signature audit trail.

Why this module exists
Signature collection is usually the last step in a document's life, not a separate product. FlexFiles builds it on the same PDF, workspace, and plan infrastructure used elsewhere, so a document can be converted, edited, and finalized, then sent for signature, without leaving the platform or reformatting anything.
E-signature only works on PDFs. If your source document is a Word file, scanned image, or web page, convert it to PDF first.
